 Data Analyst – Product Management, Market6, Walnut Creek, CA

This "Supply Chain Intelligence Database" can be used for out-of-stock reduction initiatives, forecasting, store ordering, supply chain applications, sales tools and retail trading partner activities.

The Position:

Reporting into VP of Product Engineering, the analyst will be responsible for documenting product standards, detailing forecast and order quantity recommendations and responding to variances. Chairing pilot help desk communications, testing enhancements to Market6 base products, and responding to internal teams questions on product performance. Your contributions will help make our client's experience with Market6 rewarding, insightful, and progressive in thought, insight, and execution. There will be direct client contact and occasional travel to client sites. Your success will be dependent not only upon your superior customer service skills, but also your ability to quickly learn and understand complex processes, work well within a faced paced environment, and produce results consistent with organization’s vision.

Knowledge, Skills or Experience:

  • Hands on experience with ODBC Databases
  • Proven class work excellence in the following; The Box-Jenkins approach to modeling, Bayesian theory and Time Series Analysis.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative in a team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Responsible, accountable and self-motivated
  • Goal oriented, exemplary personal standards, and a positive outlook
  • Technical confidence with software applications such as Microsoft Office, MySQL, data queries and basic file transfers
  • Experience with the consumer packaged goods industry is a definite plus
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, communication and organizational skills
