ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position helps define and develop software
business models including emerging models and corporate development
activities (strategic deals, technology buyouts, mergers and
acquisitions) within the Software organization. The candidate will have
a leadership role and makes recommendations on up and coming
initiatives to Sun executives.Specific responsibilities for this job
includes:
- Evaluates business situation, state of the market and technology trends
- Conducts strategic and competitive analysis with the use of data intelligence, and primary and secondary research methods
- Develops and evaluates new business models and alternative scenarios to achieve objectives
- Creates business strategy and communication documents
for executive review with required qualitative and quantitative
analysis to support findings and recommendations
- Communicates ideas with persuasive presentation and the effective use of graphics and visuals
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Good interpersonal skills are required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Candidate must have the ability to think
strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of
management, with the capability to guide, educate and influence the
thinking of senior decision makers. The candidate must be able to
effectively lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects at
the same time, has excellent attention to detail, and works effectively
under deadline constraints.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
The position requires strong business analysis and
management abilities, excellent verbal and written communication
skills, and solid project management capability.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3-5
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelors, MBA Preferred
FIELD OF STUDY: Business, Marketing, Finance
