The Associate Industrial Engineer will provide
analytical decision-making support to Disneyland Resort leadership,
including Executive Management. Identify and analyze areas for
operational improvement and presents proposed ideas to operational
leadership.
Apply knowledge of Industrial Engineering in order to ensure that the
appropriate methodological approach, measurements, tools and
quantitative techniques (e.g. computer simulation, statistics, process
flow analysis, the Disneyland Resort "Guestology", etc.) are applied in
bringing projects to completion. Project manage LOB and/or
cross-functional process improvement initiatives from project scope
definition through implementation. Design and conducts field study
and/or data collection efforts, including the supervision of assigned
data collection personnel. Periodically responsible for the formal
supervision, coaching, and evaluation of Industrial Engineering
co-ops/interns.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Desired Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and on teams
- Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs
- Demonstrated analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated conceptual thinking skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under changing conditions
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven strong PC skills including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics software.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Disney heritage and a commitment to change and excellence
