Qualifications: 
Skills & Competencies
  • Effective communication, collaboration and influence skills.
  • Ability to integrate business knowledge and analytical insight to develop and 'sell' business cases.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, problem solving, collaboration and time management skills
  • Ability to convert complex data into useable information.
  • Advanced statistical methods.

Education
  • Technology field or other relevant science degree. BS/MS in a quantitative major (i.e. statistics/mathematics/engineering/operations) a plus.

Experience
  • Process engineering, process design, Six Sigma & Lean trained at the Black Belt level or similar experience a plus.
  • 1 – 5 years analytical experience with knowledge of PLC controls.
  • 1 – 5 years analytical experience with knowledge of robotics and automated systems.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency a must.
  • Programming basics, SQL, Oracle, SDLC, CMI, and/or other applications used for data mining and analysis.
  • Experience supporting high systems availability environments.

Position Summary
Automation Operations Analyst- Medco is currently seeking individuals with highly developed analytical skills to join our team as an Automation Operations Analyst. In this position the incumbent will work with the operations management team to identify and improve key opportunities in a fast paced highly automated prescription dispensing center. This position reports to the Director of Operations

Key Challenges/Job Complexity

  • Learn the functionality of a complicated system, without the benefit of documentation, through observation, and analysis.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in a mature system environment where the “low hanging fruit” has already been picked.
  • Build a consensus among system owners regarding improvements and recommendations for system parameter settings.

Primary Responsibilities/Expected Contributions
  • Strong project management skills. Able to lead cross-functional teams through software project upgrades or enhancements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of all inputs to the automated dispensing systems and develop understanding of resultant outputs. Become the resident expert for optimum configuration.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools including multiple regression to predict opportunity results.
  • Represent operations in change control to assure that all system related changes will not adversely affect throughput.
  • Primary operations contact for PAC support and development personnel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Can prioritize effectively, overcome obstacles and meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively to diverse groups. The candidate must present options to the business community that improves business process; they must also converse on a technical level with development staff (internal or external) to help construct a solution.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must apply an “ambitious curiosity” to problem solving and finding creative short and long-term solutions to issues.
