Within this role, the responsibilitiy will be to view World Wide
management identification and location of HR data to facilitate the
acquisition, integration and analysis of this data and turning it into
business information that can be understood and actioned for a variety
of HR disciplines such as: Staffing, Remuneration, Talent Management,
Workforce Planning, etc. In addition, you will need to design and
oversee the collection of relevant HR data to support Work Force
Planning (WFP) and other HR activities and programs. Identify the
critical data elements necessary to integrate HR data with Finance data
to give businesses and functions better look at their people cost.
Understanding the SAP HR module and what functionality it possesses is
a must.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Lead and facilitate discussions within HR function focused at defining HR work in measures that
can be shown to improve business results.
- Meet with HR and business/functional leads to understand their needs for HR analytical data.
- Lead the quantification of HR work so that all HR program and activity have measurable results.
- Work with SAP HR tool suite to define the reports and elements of SAP that need to be introduced first for maximum payback.
- Tie the HR cost of workforce to financial metrics associated with business P&L’s.
- Work as part of team that leads the development of the Rio Tinto Human Capital Plan aligning HR work to business needs.
- Support data needs of other HR disciplines.
- Data accuracy is critical in this position.
- Analysis and integration of different types of data to create the “picture” for explanation of HR numbers.
- Finding data sources in a distributed environment.
- Working relationships with Finance to tie Cost of workforce into P&L.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, advance degree (MBA MHR) preferred
- Five years plus of strong numeric analysis and recommendations for action needed in a business setting
- Prior work in quantifying HR programs a plus
- Good business acumen
- Strong IS skills with excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc
- Ability to work independently
- Good conceptual ability skill set is a strong point for this role
- Ability to educate others in support of this work
