Position Title: Senior Budget Analyst Food & Beverage
Department: Marketing and Product Management

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for planning, development, analysis, reporting, and maintaining compliance of Amtraks Food and Beverage $91M operating budget, $80M revenue budget, and $32M transfer revenue budget. In addition, incumbent is responsible for $9M operating and capital budget for the Chief Operations Support Group and the $2M Package Express revenue budget. Another key area of responsibility is the financial compliance and reporting for the outsource contractors (Gate Gourmet) $30M operating budget. The financial performance of Amtraks Food and Beverage operation is subject to extensive oversight by Congress, DOT IG and various government agencies. This position is responsible for researching, analyzing and preparing external monthly reports that are required in this high profile area. In addition to food and beverage operations, this position will perform other duties as required in the general day-to-day operation of the department assisting other financial staff as needed.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in business or finance or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Prefer college degree in business/finance. MBA is a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Five years finance experience.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience and thorough knowledge of train operations, staffing practices, and commissary infrastructure.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Strong PC skills including MS Office applications and experience with Amtraks business systems, such as Fingate, AAMPS, e-Trax, BRIO, CICS mainframe applications and FIS Minus, in capturing data related to the operations, plans and budgets.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

None.
