Data Analyst, Health Market Science, King of Prussia, PA

Position: Data Analyst
Reports to: VP, Product Engineering 

Health Market Science is a young, rapidly-expanding company located in King of Prussia, PA. HMS is the leading provider of scientifically-engineered targeting, data integration, and advanced analytics solutions for the healthcare industry.

The Data Analyst position is responsible for identifying and evaluating new data sources used in the development and production of HMS data products. The Data Analyst will also work on special client related projects and data applications used primarily by internal staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform research required to identify new data sources, negotiate contract terms for licensed data sources and evaluate the impact that new sources have on data products
• Special analyses of data quality problems; data generation for bids/proposals/customer test runs associated with new/prototyped products, and special projects not otherwise associated with fulfillment.
• Completion of any other duties as assigned by the company from time-to-time

Required Qualifications:

• 4 Year College degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• 2 Years experience working in a data related position

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong technical skills using SQL Databases including Oracle and Microsoft Access
• Background in basic statistics
• Ability to understand data integrity and correctness
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Experience with health care data
