Description:
PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Perform varied financial and operational projects impacting cost,
general accounting, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Provide critical assessment of operational performance, workflow
analyses and processes.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review and analyze monthly actuals, forecasts, and annual budgets of CLARCOR divisions.
• Significant special projects in all areas of financial and operations management.
• Analyze capital requests. Work with operations to develop
thorough analysis that provides clear and concise information for
Corporate Management.
• Maintain a close rapport with Engineering, Sourcing, Sales and
operations planning and manufacturing functions to facilitate thorough
cost evaluations and reports.
• Support operational management.
• Travel will be required depending on timing of projects.
Required Experience:
• Must be able to work in a variety of projects and be comfortable working with limited information
• Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
• Must have good knowledge of the manufacturing operational process.
• Possess excellent people skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Have clear and concise communication skills.
• Must be an advanced Excel user and proficient with database programs such as Access.
• Proven ability to perform ad hoc analyses.
• Ability to analyze data to detect inaccuracies.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an MBA/CMA preferred.
• Ten (10) years experience preferably in a cost/manufacturing environment.
• Must have a record of being a strong team player.
• Extreme attention to detail is essential.
• Extensive travel sometimes required (both domestic and internationally)– dependent on projects
