Overarching Responsibility
To support and apply Minitab’s Vision Statement and the Training Department’s
Mission and Vision Statement.
Position Summary
Conduct technical training to entrench the use of Minitab’s products within the
market. Represent the voice of the customer within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Present Minitab’s core technical training courses at various U.S. and global customer locations.
Train for a minimum of 82 billable training days which requires approximately 10 days of monthly travel.
Work closely with documentation and other training staff to assist in developing technical training programs.
- Provide technical content for training materials.
- Test and assess new training materials.
- Perform ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of training courses.
Provide timely customer feedback to Minitab Inc.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in interdepartmental projects.
- Occasionally provide internal training.
- Occasionally offer technical expertise to sales staff for demos, tradeshows or customer visits.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Master’s degree in statistics or equivalent and knowledge of quality-related statistics as used in industry.
- Significant experience with Minitab Statistical Software or other statistical software packages is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in effective project management and time management skills.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to
instruct statistical concepts in an understandable and professional
manner. Related experience in statistical teaching and technical
writing are highly desirable.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally and globally on a regular basis.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport objects weighing 20 pounds.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
Supervision Received
Receive direct supervision from the Group Executive for Sales, Technical Support and Training and regarding work activities.
Supervision Given
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
