ProCurve Datawarehouse BI Analyst / Developer – 179001
General Description
- Accountable for analysis, technical, design,
development and implementation of ProCurve Business Intelligence
applications, including Reporting & Analytics.
- Contributes to strategy and roadmaps in-line with business strategy and ProCurve Business-Intelligence strategy.
- Provides technical expertise for the design &
development of the Business-Intelligence solutions architecture for the
ProCurve data warehouse, including:
- Operational reporting
- Analytics
- Business applications data
- Reviews current information architecture and makes BI
architecture recommendations specific to optimising Information
Delivery (real-time, mining, & traditional analytics environments).
- Ensures optimisation of OLAP and Reporting structures
for solution-specific Information delivery technologies (e.g. Microsoft
Analysis Services) and Adhoc reporting layers.
- Contributes to definition of BI architecture standards, best-practices and design methodology.
- Contributes to overall governance of the BI architecture design review process.
- Provides deep-level Business-Intelligence
subject-matter expertise and consultancy to the ProCurve Business and
BI/Dwh team in areas of Reporting/Analytics design and optimisation.
- Provides business analysis, design and development consultancy in-line with project requirements on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Help architect, design and implement a robust,
sustainable BI architecture that supports ProCurve business
requirements and provides for expansion given budgetary constraints and
availability of data and skilled resources.
- Defines the BI strategy with the BI
Reporting/Analytics lead in-line with business strategy and priorities.
Also helps define and manage supporting roadmaps and project plans to
deliver the strategy.
- Works within ProCurve’s BI Framework to design and develop BI solutions.
- Co-ordinates with Support team for Operational management of ProCurve Business-Intelligence solutions.
Key Deliverables
- Analysis, Design and Development of active business analytics initiatives.
- Contribute to Business-Intelligence strategy, specifically to cover:
- Business-Intelligence/Analytics, focused on Customer-Intelligence, Supply-Chain/Manufacturing Operations and Finance
- Operational reporting
- Business-Applications reporting
- BI solutions project management to deliver against the defined BI architecture and IT priorities.
- OLAP and Reporting models to support BI architecture foundation development.
- Consultancy to BI solutions projects to support project deliverables on an as-needed basis.
- Contribute to best-practices and standards definition to drive highly-integrated, and standardised BI architecture.
Qualifications
Key Skills
- Prior experience (at least 6years) in a technical reporting / analytics development role.
- Prior experience (at least 6years) building BI solutions through the complete SDLC.
- Prior experience (at least 3years) managing production Reporting and BI solutions.
- Extensive experience & Deep knowledge in BI
technical architecture to enable business performance management,
reporting, analytics and mining "suite" of BI\DW capabilities.
- Oracle, SQL,
- Microsoft Analysis Services 2005
- Business analysis, Data analysis.
- Conceptual and analytic skills
- Project management of BI solution initiatives.
