Supply Chain Planner (entry level) – 220071
 
Description
 
The LaserJet Supplies planning function manages the worldwide supply of LaserJet toner cartridges.  We are responsible for managing the relationship with our manufacturing partner.  We interact with cross-functional and regional operations teams to insure we have adequate supply to meet customer demand while also managing inventory assets to meet financial goals. 
 
Specific responsibilities include:
- For assigned LaserJet cartridge products, plan supply to match the demand.
- Insure the inventory is balanced worldwide, between 3 major regions.
- Plan inventory to meet customer demand while also managing inventory to financial goals.
- Communicate extensively with manufacturing partner to resolve all day to day issues and insure that proper capacity is available.
- Conduct routine and ad hoc communication with regional partners to inform as well as respond to expedites and other issues.
- Work closely with forecasters to understand changes in demand.
- When quality issues arise, work with engineering, and other partners.  Take timely action toward a recovery plan.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the IT systems and tools used to accomplish this work.
- Report to management the status of availability and escalate issues as necessary.
- Participate and eventually take a lead in special projects to support supply chain changes to physical or information flows.
 
Qualifications - your profile
- Must have graduated within the last 12 months or will graduate in May 2008
- This position will be based in Boise, ID
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems
- American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification is a plus
- Project Management Institute Certification is a plus

- Preparing and maintaining progress and other reports
