Description
Working in our Business Intelligence Department as a Data Quality
Specialist, you will perform ongoing data validation and reconciliation
activities related to the BMIS data warehouse operations. You
will perform routine data profiling activities to permit proactive
assessment of overall data quality, as well as data QA activities related to individual BI projects as
needed, which includes: execution of QA activities, documentation and
tracking of bugs, and communication of issues to project team
management. You will administer the BI issues tracking system,
which includes: issues reports and statistics, creation of new issues, follow up with issues owners on
issues maintenance, training of colleagues in use of issues systems,
and tracking and processing routine manual adjustments uploads.
Ad-hoc data inquiries and analyses using BI tools may also be
requested. Heavy communication with global colleagues across
multiple functions will be expected.
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in Data Analysis or Support related to a large-scale systems project.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.
- Hands-on working knowledge of general systems documentation and standards.
- Proven investigative analytical and problem solving ability.
- Extensive experience/skills in Microsoft Office products, as well as Access, Visio, and MS Project.
- Highly organized, with a proven ability to perform routine tasks to a high quality standard
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage 2 or more complex assignments concurrently.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with various global colleagues.
