Title: Transactional Six Sigma Black Belt – SIX00002
Description
This function has responsibility for continuous
improvement of all non-manufacturing BD Business Processes.
Provides project management leadership utilizing continuous process
improvement methodologies. Responsible for leading high value
continuous improvement projects, training project team members, and for
project management of assigned projects. Supervises and
mentors Transactional Six Sigma Project Leads for all assigned
projects. Has primary accountability to ensure successful project
implementation and delivery of targeted savings and value.
This position is also responsible for teaching applicable continuous
improvement training curriculum (e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Lean, Six
Sigma Orientations, and Six Sigma).
* Leads project teams within and across the Business Process organization, BDX Business Segments, Units, and Regions.
* Supervises and mentors Business Process Transactional Six Sigma Green Belts.
* Educates and trains Transactional Six Sigma team members in continuous improvement techniques.
* Leads and manages the Business Process Orientation Six Sigma training program.
* Investigates and gathers data on potential new projects.
Prepares draft Charters for future projects, and prepares new project
initiation assessments in collaboration with the Business Process ESC.
* Implements continuous process improvement projects focused on cycle
times, critical to quality elements, customer satisfaction, response
times, cost reductions, elimination of rework, waste, streamlining
processes, elimination of redundant non-value added activities, etc.
* Leads oversight of project implementations, tracks and maintains
actual implementation project plans to ensure that project improvements
are achieved.
* Develops and implements process performance metrics to monitor
process optimization. Executes the process improvement control
plan. Tracks and reports control plan results.
Qualifications
* 7 plus years functional experience with
progressive responsibility in one or more of the following areas:
Logistics, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering,
etc.
* Track record of managing projects of substantial scale.
* Experience with: MRP systems, Procurement, supply chain planning,
order fulfillment, distribution operations, SAP and/or a related ERP
system a plus.
* Experience with supervising and motivating exempt and non-exempt employees preferred.
* Familiarization with ISO 9000 requirements and Quality System Regulations is required.
* Six Sigma trainer experience preferred.
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification or certified Green Belt completing requirements for Black Belt status
Strong influence, interpersonal and communication skills. Must
have effective analytical, technical, statistical and problem solving
skills. Ability to work with senior leadership members. Must have
established presentation skills, and have the capability of working at
all levels of the organization. Must have learning agility, and
desire to further career growth.
