Clearwire is searching for a Product Operations
Manager to support its product development and product management
efforts. This role provides a unique opportunity to support the
development and optimization of the entire Clearwire product portfolio
including residential and mobile broadband, Internet phone, and value
added services. In this role, you will be responsible for interfacing
the Product team with the core operational teams within Clearwire as
well as external vendors to drive the delivery of critical product
functionality. The ideal candidate will balance cross functional
program management skills, solid technical understanding, and
relationship management savvy to anchor the Clearwire product team.
Job Responsibilities (specific duties):
• Support individual Product Developers and
Product Managers in the introduction and optimization of both new and
existing Clearwire services.
• Provide an interface between the Product team and key support
organizations: IT, Customer Care, Logistics, Engineering, Strategic
Planning, etc.
• Author and maintain product requirements, specifications, and
other documentation for functionality deliverables from support
organizations.
• Source and manage relationships with external vendors/suppliers
of services and products that enable the Clearwire product portfolio
• Develop and drive delivery schedules for functionality and
product deliverables from support organizations and external
vendors/suppliers.
• Develop and manage the collection and analysis of data from
support organizations that will benchmark and improve product
performance and the customer experience.
• Work with Marketing team and external agencies to support
packaging and industrial design projects for Clearwire product portfolio
• Basic product management for value added services.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4-6 years of operational experience in the telecommunications, wireless, or technology industries.
• Strong project and program management background with
demonstrated experience driving cross functional teams to supply
deliverables on schedule and on budget.
• Experience in outside vendor/supplier evaluation, negotiation, and performance management.
• Excellent written communication skills with emphasis on requirements, specifications, and other documentation.
• Technical experience with VoIP and IP networking is preferred
