supporting billing & business management systems for the technology
services industry since 1994. A pioneer of e-commerce, IntraISP was

management systems well into the 21st century.
General Description:
The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between
internal/external clients and with developers to ensure technical
compatibility and user satisfaction.
The company supports a telecommunications software package product with
multiple functional components: Billing, CRM, Voice & Data Service
Provisioning, Trouble Ticketing, Tower Management, General Ledger,
Customer Premise Inventory and Network Equipment Inventory, Sales and
Revenue Management.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the
client to examine existing business models/processes and the flows of
data in the business. The business analyst will develop cost
specifications and produce high level designs of new IT systems,
specifying the data, files and logical operations the system will
perform, and the way data will be viewed by the user. The business
analyst will work with the Team Lead and the Development Project
Manager(s) to implement software changes. Business process,
requirements gathering and technical experience is required, and domain
knowledge within at least one of the functional components is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
* Project manage own initiatives. Be the product owner/business sponsor for specific applications.
Interview and document the results interviews with client team.
* Oversee the business process definition for all identified functional areas.
* Identify and document business processes and create the business process review schedule by functional area.
* Identify and document requirements for system design, implementation & training.
* Create data flow diagrams.
* Support the creation and/or create test plans and training materials relevant to the approved client business processes.
* Collaborate with resources to ensure all system design requirements
adequately reflect the defined business processes and fully support all
components of the functional business requirements.
* Demonstrate ability to communicate with the technical team members.
* Work closely with project management team in analyzing status of project.
* Must be a self-starter; possess excellent communication and
organizational skills along with the ability to work well under
pressure.
* Provides support to the project management team in the form of
project schedule planning, monitoring, auditing, reporting and
analysis.
* Creates, monitors, and maintains multiple work plans/schedules and project actuals.
* Generates multiple types of reports as needed for team and assisting in monitoring on time project schedule.
* Assist with the development of procedures and processes to improve operational efficiency.
* Work effectively with internal and external clients.
* Prioritize technical and operations initiatives on behalf of the end users.
* Seek ways to automate and otherwise improve upon existing processes and applications.
* Prepare and update project plans.
* Write business requirements documentation for new applications, as well as document enhancement requests and bugs.
* Run design sessions that lead to prototyping of a new application. Run usability sessions using the prototypes.
* Coordinate with global team activities.
* Report project status to all appropriate stakeholders.
* Perform user acceptance testing (on behalf of traders and portfolio
managers) when new or enhanced applications are being released. Create
test scripts, run UAT sessions.
* Assist in the resolution of critical path issues.
* Liaise with development counterparts in design, development and testing efforts.
Education/ Work experience requirements:
* Bachelor degree or equivalent. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree.
* 4-5+ years experience in one of the listed functional domains.
* 3-5+ years of business analysis and project management experience.
* Full life cycle software development and implementation experience.
* Must have experience in asset management and/or equity trading systems.
* Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and solve issues.
* Possess good judgment, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
* Experience in all MS Office tools and MS Project.
* Experienced with creating & maintaining very large & complex project work plans
* Dependable, with excellent organizational skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills, and be flexible in a dynamic team environment.
* Ability to multi-task meeting multiple deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ex-Big 5 consulting experience a plus.
* Ability to facilitate meetings with multiple individuals (cross-functional teams)
