Chevron Global Downstream Refining in Pascagoula, MS is currently
searching for Reliability Inspectors/Analysts to provide communication
and maintenance of the mechanical, rotating equipment or instrument and
electrical (I&E) integrity programs for equipment in their assigned
areas. These individuals will also provide reliability analysis of
maintenance practices and costs to improve overall maintenance and
reliability effectiveness. This will also include work process
improvements and detailed cost analysis.
Position Details: Key Responsibilities:
* Note some items may be discipline specific
* Uses electronic NDE data to predict corrosion rates.
* Vibration data gathering, monitoring and analysis
* Evaluates Instrument and electrical equipment performance
* Calculates time for remaining life, and performs Fitness for Service evaluations.
* Inspects equipment and monitors process data to assure equipment is safe and reliable for continued operation.
* Ensures electronic Inspection Plans are developed, communicated, and executed on schedule.
* Makes repair decisions and issues detailed repair Work Orders.
* Ensures all jurisdictional and Company compliance requirements are met.
* Manages contract Inspectors and specialized NDE personnel as necessary.
* Provides technical information for engineers, operators, and quality control technicians.
* Documents results of all inspections, tests, alterations, and equipment repairs in Reliability (Meridium) database.
* Conducts root cause failure analysis and develops and communicates solutions for Worse Actors.
* Successfully participates in technical, inspection, analytical, communication, and work flow training to develop skills.
Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years in the petrochemical industry as an Equipment Inspector. (Fixed, Rotation, I&E, or QM/QC)
* Knowledge of refinery corrosion mechanisms, equipment history and jurisdictional requirements to maintain Inspection plans.
* Experience performing on stream & shutdown inspections of refinery equipment.
* Strong computer skills.
* Ability to communicate with a clear, concise and accurate expression of facts, both in writing and orally.
* American Petroleum Institutes (API) certifications in 653, 570, 510.
* Personal safety record should reflect the support of industry safety objectives.
* Periodically requires working beyond the 40 hr week and at other Chevron facilities for up to 6 wks.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Technical Degree
* College Degree and/or National Board Inspection Code commission certificate
* Experience will be considered versus Degree
* Knowledge of Reliability Data Tools (Meridium) to maintain Inspection Database and analyze condition monitoring data.
Relocation Options:
* Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
