Position Overview:

Chevron Energy Technology Company is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer, located in Houston, Texas.

The Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer performs high-end flow simulation studies for Chevron's worldwide operations, including major capital projects, new ventures, exploration, etc. Project work will include mentoring of engineers with less experience.
 
Position Details:  Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

* Build, run and calibrate simulation models.
* Perform predictions for large and complex reservoirs.
* Train and mentor others.
* Conduct large and complex reservoir simulation studies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:

* A Bachelor's Degree.
* A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience.
* Specialized knowledge of simulation model building, simulation model use and simulation work flow.
* Experience with multiple model types, including black oil, compositional, stream line, etc.
* Strong data analysis and data manipulation, Windows and UNIX computer skills, as well as simulation work flow process improvement skills.
* A strong understanding of rock and fluid properties and how to incorporate them into a simulation model.
* Knowledge of asset development and management.
* Experience in operating company asset development and planning, optimization, waterflooding, decision analysis, and reservoir management.
* The ability to train and mentor the Chevron workforce and technology development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

* A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Petroleum Engineering.
