The Position: THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptional Relationship Marketing
Manager to help support Netflix’s growing CRM practice. Working
within a lean and analytical marketing department, this position
supports the Director of Relationship Marketing in optimizing member
acquisition and communications through direct email and database
marketing programs. The selected candidate will responsible for
developing, managing, and improving all aspects of ad hoc and on-going
outbound email and direct marketing communication programs.
Additionally, this candidate will have the opportunity to play an
integral role in shaping the campaign strategy and requirements for
future channel enhancements.
This position is perfectly suited for a high energy, highly motivated
individual who has a foundation of experience in email and/or database
marketing and is looking to apply that experience within a high

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and continually optimize the creation and
execution of all strategic and tactical elements of a portfolio of
email marketing campaigns. This includes setting campaign objectives,
testing recommendations, test plan development and creative direction
- Ensure overall contact and communications strategy is
supported and provide recommendations for improvement. Create and lead
the planning and development of ongoing communications targeted toward
multiple key segments through in-depth prospect and customer analysis
- Responsible for the forecasting, analysis, reporting
and presentation of overall program, testing and campaign results.
Translate data and communicate email performance specific to internal
product, merchandising and marketing groups
- Identify and conduct the analysis needed to drive
segmentation and content that should be tested and featured within
targeted and segmented emails
- Work collaboratively with various internal teams to
identify and implement database marketing opportunities to more
effectively reach consumers in various high value segments
- Continually develop, measure, and optimize campaign
and portfolio testing programs using A/B and multivariate
methodologies. This position will assume direct responsibility for
portfolio programs and will be expected to maximize profitability of
these programs over time
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure that campaigns are executed accurately
- Act as a team representative to various internal
clients who rely on email marketing to advance the business needs,
including marketing, product and merchandising teams
- Become recognized within the company as an expert on
the email marketing space, as well Netflix’s email marketing
practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years experience in direct/database marketing or
customer relationship marketing program development and/or
implementation. Experience with CRM and campaign management systems
ideal
- 2+ years experience utilizing outbound email
marketing, ideally in a B-to-C environment. Experience in retail
e-commerce a plus.
- Superb data evaluation skills, with the ability to
extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative
marketing and business solutions
- Strong understanding of direct marketing principles and internet-based consumer behavior
- Advanced project management skills & experience a must
- Able to develop strong working relationships with
internal peers, and secure cross-functional cooperation in a
non-authority relationship
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
