are currently seeking exceptional candidates for the following position:
Statistical Analyst
Job Description: ScienceOps needs one or more people to work on
short and longer term commercial data analysis/data mining and
algorithm development contracts. These are statistical modeling
positions involving problems in commercial data analysis and data
mining requiring knowledge of advanced statistical methods such as
linear and non linear regression, neural networks, categorical data
analysis, cluster analysis, kernel density estimation, smoothing,
functional data analysis, and signal processing. An interest in
computation with computational skills in higher level data analysis
languages such as R, S-Plus, SAS, or SPSS required. Knowledge of
numerical methods, experience in lower level languages such as C++, C#,
or JAVA, and proficiency in Mathematica are all pluses. This is a PhD
position, but qualified individuals with lower level degrees will be
considered.
