The Product Manager works as a part of product management team on one or
multiple products in the domain of data analytics and reporting solutions. Expertise and work efforts are focused on
product development and growth. Primary
responsibilities involve:

Creation and maintenance of product books, and other
materials required to support sales, implementation and support

Work with clients (internal and
external) to solicit feedback on product needs and requirements

Work with internal teams and clients to document business requirements,
data flow and use cases

Work with service teams to capture implementation and operational
requirements for the product

Work with training team to review and develop training
materials
-
Conducts periodic status checks with customers and team to assess
progress against plan.

Collaborate with the team to define product direction and enhancements
requirements
Required Skills
Qualified applicants will have
a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in relevant industry business
practices, business consulting or technical consulting, as well as a good
understanding of data manipulation to answer business needs. Need also to have
good technology awareness but be business oriented to analyze and document use
case scenarios to develop the business requirements. Knowledge of requirements
process, capturing business requirements, writing use cases, using software
applications and tools is essential. Practice and understanding of data
manipulation with an understanding of limits of data usage and manipulation to
transform data into business oriented information. Excellent communication,
presentation, organizational and planning skills are required. Must also be able
to work as a team member and customer liaison. Pharmaceutical experience and
knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence tools or other BI vendors is a
plus.

Job Description
Senior Technical Manager will be responsible for
managing multiple projects, coordinating and monitoring projects with support
from project manager(s), technical project manager(s) & leads from
initiation through completion through the use of established project management
(PMI) practices and standards set by the PMO and ensures that projects are
completed on-time within budget and all project deliverables are met with
quality. This position is also responsible for architecting new systems and
modules to cater to client needs with support from reporting technical team.
This person is also responsible for leading technical resources in the ongoing
operations team to ensure that the projects / deliverables are transitioned
correctly following the processes into operational system and ensure that all
operational tasks are carried out meeting the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Projects include but not limited to SFA/CRM product implementation,
software/hardware updates and enhancements, major deployments etc.,
Creation/analysis/maintenance of project schedule for multiple projects that can
be executed in parallel in working with project managers and technical project
managers & leads. Facilitates and coordinates project tasks across
functional groups, assisting teams with issue resolution/decision making.
Required Experience
10+ years experience managing information technology
projects with at least 5-6 years as a technical manager managing multiple
projects of high complexity. Demonstrated experience working with mid to large
size team from both implementation and operations team. Experience in executing
projects with resources located on-site as well at remote locations. Excellent
knowledge with Software Development Life Cycle processes and standards. Strong
technical knowledge in the following areas: Relational database Oracle version
9i and 10g. Database management and database performance knowledge to work
effectively with database administrators. Operating systems like Windows 2003,
Sun Solaris OS to work effectively with server administration team. Knowledge of
ETL tools like Informatica (Version 6.x/7.x/8.x) - It is very essential for the
candidate to have skills in this area as many of the ETL processes are run using
Informatica platform. Strong understanding and work experience in the following
subject areas: Operational Data Stores (ODS) - Systems using operational data
stores where huge volumes of data is loaded, maintained and extracted to feed to
other systems. DataMart (DM) - Run using Business Objects to provide business
users with access to the data stored in the Data Mart. Customer Master -
Knowledge with customer master databases involving data cleansing, customer
match for duplicates / merge operations. Hands on technical skills in relational
databases, Informatica ETL tool, Business Objects and in Microsoft .Net
environment - Should be able to provide support to the team members reporting
with hands on technical knowledge. Excellent written and oral communication and
presentation skills. Demonstrated customer management skills that resulted in
high customer satisfaction. Strong planning, problem solving skills in both
management and technical areas. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from team members (technical as well as non-technical),
managers and other departments. Very good knowledge using Microsoft Office tools
including MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint and Microsoft Project. Ability to
work in a fast paced environment. Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer
Science. PMP Certification

department. A self-motivated and high-energy individual that can
focus and deliver as promised with basic managerial support, coupled
with the ability to work positively and effectively in a team
environment.
