Job Description :
The Professional Services department within Informatica is responsible
for ensuring customers are successful in deploying our data integration
and analytic platforms. Our consultants work with our customers and
business partners both on short-term assignments to provide spot,
Informatica expertise, as well as longer-term efforts to ensure a
decision support project is delivered in accordance with the customer's
expectations.
Working either independently or with a team of Informatica and/or
Business Partner consultants, Informatica Analysts take a primary point
of contact role with clients. Our analysts must bring a combination of
technical depth, written/verbal communication, and client management
skills.
Analysts utilize our decision support methodology, Velocity, on all
engagements, with a particular emphasis on the Architecture, Design,
and Deploy phases. Ensuring that clients leverage Informatica Best
Practices in architecture design and performance tuning are common
challenges our analysts address with clients.
Though in-town assignments are given the highest priority, Informatica
Professional Services consultants must be willing to travel. Efforts
are made to ensure this travel is limited to your home region and
occurs during the work week.
Knowledge management and sharing is a high priority, so each analyst
has time each month to document client projects and record best
practices.
Required Skills : Willingness to travel 75%
2+ years Informatica PowerCenter experience (development and administration) required. Version 8 experience strongly desired.
Prior experience as a member of a "Big 5" firm or "Consulting
Services/Professional Services" team at a major software company a
MUST. We seek PROFESSIONALS with technical expertise as well as strong
business consulting skills.
2+ years experience in a "customer facing/business analyst" role
2+ years experience in software solution development/deployment in Data Warehouse projects
2+ years experience deliving and managing solutions centering around
data integration, Business Intelligence deployment and data warehousing
Good handle on current trends in data warehouse and business analytics technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a MUST HAVE.
Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred (CIS or MIS).

product/solutions strategy, messaging and positioning, development of
sales tools and programs, and strategy and execution of demand

Reporting to:

Primary Responsibility:
Identify specific market opportunities and drive expansion for a new product line
Develop and drive product and marketing plans and strategic campaigns
Drive development of content for collateral, white papers, PR, analyst
relations, sales and positioning PPTs, web site, blogs, etc.
Drive content for all lead generation (including direct mail), customer
outreach, field readiness, and thought leadership programs
Participate in the development of sales readiness teams:
Including sales and partner tools
Customer case studies
Competitive analysis
ROI models and other tools that leverage our core messaging and positioning
Evangelize the product at trade shows, product releases and via speaking engagements
Drive messaging and thought leadership around the products
Support packaging & pricing strategy
Required Skills : BA/BS degree required, MBA or technical degree a plus
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as a Product Marketing
Manager or equivalent experience (sales, pre-sales or consulting)
