Project Manager Engineer, Owensboro Medical Health System, Owensboro, KY
POSITION SUMMARY
A project manager engineer responsible for using technical and Lean
manufacturing tools to complete a variety of healthcare continuous
improvement projects. These methodologies are used to work with
departments, teams, and individuals across the organization to
facilitate improved design, management and controls over operations.
Works with Directors, Managers and staff to oversee operation
improvement projects in a variety of stages from non-existence,
concept-known and ready to implement. Responsibilities also
include internal project identification, tracking; identification and
provision of improvement metrics; and promotion of organizational
excellence and transformation. Must have the ability to influence and
inspire and be respected as a "change agent" for process improvement.
Will facilitate training of appropriated individuals throughout
the
organization in performance improvement techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering. MPA, MBA, or other post-graduate management degree desirable.
Experience: Minimum of five years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with supervisory and Lean implementation
experience. Experience in the delivery of internal or external organizational consulting and training. Experience preferred in
designing/implement ing manufacturing solutions in healthcare.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Director of Strategic Planning and Lean Process Improvement
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Relates formally and informally to a wide range of people in a variety
of positions and levels throughout the organization. This person will
interact with the Board of Directors, Medical Staff and all members of
the management team.
EQUIPMENT USED / SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.
A variety of computer software skills, which include databases,
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; highly organized and detailed
oriented. Demonstrates professionalism and represents the organization
in a positive manner. Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.
Requires excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
interpersonal and facilitation skills.
