Basic qualifications:

2yrs or more of formal post high school and 5yrs of GSK experience or minimum of 8yrs of relevant work experience

Knowledge of R&D and Clinical Drug Development process; understands the study, project and program level; understanding of clinical operations practices.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelors degree, and 7yrs of GSK experience or minimum of 10yrs of relevant work experience

Details:

-Independently analyze business unit and departmental planning information from all sources, draw valid conclusions, and summarize.
-Develop information solutions to ensure the integrity and accuracy of planning information in the corporate and departmental systems.  Independently review output to identify issues.
-Recognize issues with planning information, its collection and management, and recommend solutions.
-Design tools to streamline capture and reporting of data from diverse sources.  Deliver non-standard reporting to study teams, functional areas, and in response to management requests.
-Design and build information solutions utilizing the following: (including, but not limited to Lotus Notes, MS Project, Excel, Access, Power Point, eTrack, LMUT, Business Objects, Seagate Crystal Reports Professional, Mind Manager, Adobe Acrobat Exchange, MS Visual Basic Programming)
-Customize MS Project templates (as well as other systems)  to meet customer needs/requests.
-Design advanced queries for workgroup databases for export and in response to user requests/needs.
-Work directly and independently with Study Teams to create and update MS Project timelines at the Portfolio,  Project, and Study Level.
-Alert Study Managers regarding major issues with the timelines.
-Review timelines for past due key milestones and solicit appropriate updates from the teams.
-Prepare PDF views of timelines for insertion into minutes and barcharts for posting to website.
-Lead, oversee, train staff in use of business information solutions
-Train staff in the appropriate use, maintenance and reporting of planning information
-Develop training materials and conduct training for system users.
-Update corporate systems (eTrack) for key milestones, emphasizing accuracy and attention to detail.
-Design advanced Business Objects reports to capture corporate system data in response to team needs/request.
-Collaborate with and support Local Etrack experts to ensure 97% compliance of milestones and patient/center allocation information.
-Collaborate with external groups as appropriate to ensure alignment (e.g.,  Metrics and Benchmarking and Rixensart) to ensure reporting tools and resources are available via the web and in-line with  operations and processes.
-Seek out new innovative IT reporting and collaborative tools available in and outside of industry as well as taking advantage of tools already available throughout GSK.  Collaborate with external partners to understand the benefits and intricacies of these tools to share/train department staff.
-Work across all Biologicals groups to identify customer requirements and business information needs (i.e., conduct a needs assessment and gap analysis) periodically to ensure we are utilizing facts and data to manage our operations effectively.
-Develop information solutions to ensure the integrity and accuracy of planning information in the departmental systems.  Independently review output to identify issues.
-Recognize issues with planning information, its collection and management, and recommend resolutions.
-Design tools to streamline the capture and reporting of data from diverse sources.

The roleholder will be accountable for managing the US Biologicals business information - translating data into information that supports, facilitates operations in the use of metrics (i.e., facts and data) to assess and drive performance across ops groups and ensures that systems to capture and output these data are identified and available. 

Facilitates the transparency of operational data to all groups across the business and manages US Biologicals eTrack data at the portfolio level-longer range planning efforts. 
Responsible for coordinating the US Bio portfolio tracking information.
