Team Lead - Remote Wireless Network Management

Apprion is seeking an experienced,
self-motivated network management expert and operations center leader to join
the team as the Manager or Lead Engineer, depending on experience level, of our
Wireless Network Access Facility.
As team leader, you will initially be
responsible for defining and implementing best practices for streamlined
operations of our Network Access Facility, from which we remotely monitor and
manage customer's wireless network and applications. You will work closely with
our integration partners, customers, and the rest of the Apprion Services team
to identify problems with customer deployments impacting: performance,
reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement best practices for a remote network monitoring &
management operation to deliver best-in-class service
- Manage ongoing partner and customer interfaces to ensure the highest level
of customer satisfaction.
- Define key metrics and reports (performance, reliability, security) to share
with the customer and Apprion senior management to demonstrate Service value.
- Establish, prioritize, and implement a rapid response system for incoming
alerts indicating problems in the customer's network.
- Work with field wireless engineers to diagnose and recommend remedies for
problems identified from Apprion's management console
- Build, configure and deploy remote Linux based network monitoring and
control systems
- Work closely with clients to build systems that meet their requirements
- Work closely with Apprion's embedded firmware and software development
teams, offering feedback from the field
- Point-of-contact for customers to resolve technical issues post-deployment.
Required Skills:
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience as a lead member of a Managed Services or
Network Monitoring business.
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience with network and security monitoring
management solutions (HP OpenView, Counterpane, Cisco, etc.).
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience with network/device management using SNMP
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting
customer networks
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSH, UDP, IP
routing, etc.
- 3+ years experience in customer relationship management
- 2+ years of solid experience with wireless technologies (802.11a, b, g,
WiMAX, RFID, UWB, etc.)
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of wireless network performance fundamentals: Signal
strength, radiated power, occupancy, throughput, wireless bridging and
association, etc.
- Working knowledge of wireless security
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems with ability to compile,
install, configure, and troubleshoot software
- Working knowledge of network and application security concepts
(authorization/authentication/ACL)
Education Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. (MS preferred)

Senior Account Manager, Apprion, San Franciso, CA
Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager position will be primarily responsible
for identifying, developing and managing end user relationships and assist in
positioning the organization for sustained profitable growth. Interface with
OEM's and Distributors will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual sales order and revenue plans, which contribute to
corporate profit and growth objectives.
- Consistently identify new business opportunities at existing and potential
customers served direct and through distribution, to ensure sustained profitable
growth.
- Develop and execute sales plans for key accounts that are linked to the
organization's market objectives and strategies.
- Fulfill the "trusted advisor" role with customers, partners and the Apprion
product team
- Ensure customer delight in working with Apprion and Apprion-enabled
solutions.
- Gather, interpret and communicate customer, competitive, and market
information to the organization.
- Identify and pre-qualify business opportunities and make recommendations to
the organization.
- Utilize account management software tools to keep complete and current
information on customers resulting in effective territory management.
- Acts as company evangelist to the process automation market.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience solution selling of systems, software and/or
services
- Proven ability to meet or exceed quota in a complex sales environment
- Experience with industrial automation applications - especially process
control environments
- Experience in sales management and in managing enterprise accounts and
directing the sales process
- Understanding of networking technologies
- Understanding of Automatic Identification and Data Collection technologies
such as RFID
- Has proven, effective management skills with a positive, high-energy mindset
- Crisp, clear, effective communicator
- Successfully sets priorities, drive decisions and get closure on
recommendations and issues
- Strategic thinker, can manage long-term issues
- Strong evangelist and company champion
- Strong work and business ethics
- 8+ years sales experience.
Education Requirements:
- B.A., B.S. or equivalent required.
- Post-graduate business, engineering, or computer science degree preferred
