John Deere Power Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide
quality planning, control, and improvement support for product
development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and
manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere
product quality meets the customers' expectations. In this position,
you will:
* Apply quality tools within the Enterprise Product
Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP).
* Support application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.
Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in a
Business/Management/Engineering/Technology/Science/Math discipline or
minimum of 4+ years experience using standard quality tools such as
FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process
Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
Required Skills & Experiences
* Minimum of 2+ years experience using
standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis),
SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
* Knowledge / previous experience of foundry casting processes.
* Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution
processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative
maintenance and facilities. Knowledge of drawing and schematic
interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
* Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
* Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style.
* Experience in one or more related engineering
areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design,
manufacturing and quality.
* Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
* Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
* Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management.
