Shell’s chemical business operations in the U.S. are performed

Shell Chemical LP produces about 9,072 kilotonnes (20 billion pounds)
of chemicals annually, which are sold primarily to industrial markets
in the United States.
Shell Chemical LP is currently seeking a Planning and Scheduling Engineer NCP for their Norco, Louisiana location.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct project plan and scheduling engineering
activities in accordance with Shell/local specific procedures
* Assess gaps in NCP Project Controls vs. standards
and best practices. Internal standards include NCP Project Engineering
Manual, Project Guide PG-6 “Project Control”, & PG-3B
“Principles of Project Scheduling
* Create, maintain, and progress the overall site
resource loaded portfolio schedule including owner resources
* Champion the setting of competitive vs. conservative “not to exceed” targets
* Ensure that all individual schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource-loaded
* Review, validate, and challenge project schedules
and resource forecasts generated by others (contractors) for Norco
projects
* Assist in the development of project plans and
schedules ranging from level one integrated project plans through to
detailed (Level 3) activities
* Conduct schedule review meetings to discuss
project progress and to assist in developing alternatives to
accommodate changes in priorities
* Coordinate scheduling information for IPA Benchmarking Studies every 3 – 4 years
Requirements:
* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
* 5+ years applicable experience in Project Scheduling for similar type project portfolio
* Minimum High School
education
* Working knowledge of broad range of Project Controls systems, tools, and practices
* Experience with Group Projects IT standards
* Experience on scheduling analysis using software
programs such as Primavera P3 / P3E, Microsoft Project, SAP, standard
spreadsheet (Excel), database, and word (Microsoft Word) processing
skills
* Ability to work in a flexible, team based
environment, which is a collection of various soft/hard technical
disciplines, stakeholders and contractors
* Must have a team spirit attitude, be
self-motivated, and be willing to support other groups and projects
when required
* Good leadership, communication, report writing, and presentation skills

Shell Trading Services Company is currently seeking a Pre-settlements Business Analyst for their Spokane, Washington location.
Responsibilities:
* Use a solid understanding of current client obligations and company
operations to ensure compliance under new and existing contractual
arrangements for the purchase, sale, transport and management of
natural gas and power in the Western Region
* Manage day to day reporting/communication to client surrounding
trading, optimization, scheduling and system management and would be
prepared to respond to any concerns the client may have relating to
Shell's services
Key Accountabilities
* Reconcile transmission statements, become familiar with applicable Open Access Transmission Information (OATI) requirements
* Ensure that settlements systems and processes are in place upon deal
execution to facilitate a smooth transition of executed deals to the
back office
* Interface with the cash and real-time desks to identify
discrepancies, account for curtailments and insure follow-through on
transactions
* Generate and distribute reports as required by the contract
* Provide a consolidated analysis as a trading or marketing tool that
includes an evaluation from credit, contracts, risk management and
operations
* Evaluation would include the operational burden of the contract, the
profit potential and the P&L impact of the transaction
* Assist staff with analysis, portfolio management and settlement of energy transactions
* Provide support to management, legal, regulatory and contracts by
providing analysis and financial interpretation of contractual
negotiations/decisions
* Understand the inner workings of the company from trade execution to
final settlement and provide recommendations to management of
* Process/systems improvements and ways of minimizing costs
* Provide analysis and feedback to marketers during contract
negotiations, as to our systems capabilities, and cost estimates
required to provide services contemplated in contract negotiations
* Troubleshoot transaction disputes
* Generate necessary reports such as transmission/pipeline usage
reports, client trading recaps, open credit available with client
counterparties, etc. and communicate any other information required
under the contract
* Insure portfolio's are balanced and curtailments are properly accounted for
* Insure appropriate system tools are built and maintained to continue performance under client contracts
* Coordinate efforts between the operations, risk, back office, credit,
contracts and trading departments to insure that the client
relationships are being properly managed while minimizing SENA's
performance, delivery, contractual, credit and price risk
* Manage multiple deadlines and set priorities between marketing transactions
* Perform special projects as requested by management
Requirements:
* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics,
Accounting, Statistics or related field or other equivalent experience
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated proficiency in computers and other office equipment
* High level of knowledge of Excel an MS Word and Power Point. Good problem solving skills
* Ability to perform multiple tasks
* Basic understanding of both the electric and natural gas industries a plus
