Analyst  - Wachovia Bank, Saint Louis, MO.  

The Business Analyst position will report to the Portfolio Manager and primarily be responsible for but not limited to the generation and development of Wachovia Securities Banking Services performance reports, tracking portfolio metrics, assisting in the management of product spreads, monitoring sales sprints and campaigns, and providing data and support for various projects across the organization. Other responsibilities will include the creation of forecasts, sensitivity analysis, competitive research, database management, drawing conclusions and recommending actionable strategies based on detailed data analysis. This role involves interacting and creating strong partnerships within the Banking Services Group, the Business Development Group, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Bank partners throughout the organization, and executive management in an effort to support and meet our banking goals. This role will evolve as Banking Services continues to expand its capabilities. Banking Services is among the fastest growing business units within Wachovia Securities and is a key initiative of the firm with aggressive growth targets over the next 5 years.

REQUIREMENTS:
Four year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience required. Candidate must possess 3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience in business analysis role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry. Must have extensive experience with Excel and have strong skills in use of advanced applications that include but are not limited to pivot tables, v lookups and macros. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to accurately manage large pools of data. Must be able to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced environment. Must possess excellent written and oral skills. Proficiency in Access, Word, and Power Point preferred. Knowledge of SAS, SQL and Visual Basic helpful. Minimal travel required. Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm
