Summary:
MedMinedTM services from Cardinal Health help reduce the human and
economic cost of infections. With healthcare-associated infections

nation. MedMinedTM services enable hospitals to produce measurable cost
savings and quality of care improvements.
Principal Systems Engineer responsibilities:
- Perform problem analysis, knowledge search, process documentation, customer requirements acquisition and documentation
- Translate
the requirements into functional specifications and system design.
Conduct applied research of algorithms appropriate to meet problem
requirements
- Rapid prototyping of user interface concepts
- Conduct usability studies
- Analysis of usability data to determine effective use of products and potentials for product/process improvements
- Working with all functional teams on process and quality improvement projects Mentor new hires and serve as project leader.
Qualifications
- PhD or MS with 2+ year or BS with 6+ years work experience in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Training and/or working experience in computer science and statistics a major plus.
- Proficient user of computer technology
- Knowledge and experience in process modeling and simulation, optimization, and operations research techniques
- Systems analysis skills
- Statistical Process Control technique and design
- User Interface prototyping tools (web prototyping tools, software design and modeling)
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Requirements and functional documentation
- Software Systems quality control
- Project management
- Knowledge in Health Care Systems Engineering or Information Technology (HL7) a plus
- Knowledge of .NET (C# and/or VB.NET) or similar programming languages, MS SQL a plus
- Knowledge in data model design and query optimization a plus
