Job Summary
Join a small, high-energy Seattle-area software
company and develop new and extend existing features of GoldSim - our
innovative modeling and simulation software. Our mission is to develop
state-of-the-art simulation software that helps our clients to make
better decisions in an uncertain world. Our software is used by
government and corporate clients around the world.
We are looking for a versatile person who has strong problem solving
skills and enjoys working on complex, cross-discipline development
projects.
Responsibilities
You will quickly demonstrate your software design
and programming skills by developing innovative new features and user
interfaces for. You will be expected to participate in all stages of
software design, coding, testing, maintenance and customer support.
Your versatility will enable you to tackle a wide variety of activities
and move our products forward on many fronts.
We require demonstrated software engineering skills, experience with
large code bases, an analytical bent of mind, and a love of
object-oriented design, abstraction and data structures.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in computer science, engineering,
applied mathematics, or other closely related field, or a Bachelor's
degree with at least 5 years of commercial/industrial programming
experience.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a software
development environment with practical C/C++ programming experience on
MS-Windows platforms.
- Strong C/C++ coding skills as well as demonstrated experience with MFC, STL, ATL, COM, Win32 and GUI design.
- Strong communication skills.
- A history of pro-active and detail-oriented performance.
- Ability to take on varied tasks in unfamiliar areas and provide results in a timely manner.
- Must have legal working status in the United States.
Plusses
- Experience building large-scale scientific or engineering software.
- Working knowledge with parse trees, multi threading, installer technologies and scientific programming.
- Experience with mixed code (native and managed) and migrating existing code to .NET platform.
- Knowledge of Monte Carlo methods and statistical data analysis.
