Job Responsibilities and Qualifications :
COMMUNICATION
-Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal
effectiveness and uses this to both train and enhance internal use with
useful systems information
-Communicates with clear messages to sales teams and other information
groups about current & future direction of customer information and
changes that will optimize the business
-Drives through customer/prospect mergers and changes and provides
support to stakeholder teams to enable them to deliver on sales and
customer initiatives
STRATEGY
-Together with the Director, creates the future
vision of our database assets and drives the changes and direction that
will increase business effectiveness and ROI.
-Delivers on form, data elements, user accessibility, and user application to drive revenue
-Demonstrates a solid understanding of successful database user tools
and demonstrates insight as to what the next version of customer data
should look like and deliver to users
-Ensures that the strategy is clearly communicated to team members and
that team understands the strategy and how it impacts on their jobs and
is able to obtain agreement and buy-in from all other key stakeholders
to the strategic direction of customer relationship data
DATABASE MANAGEMENT
-Leads clean-up, de-duping, data element development and enhancement initiatives of the business
-Establishes a clear business case for continual customer information development and growth
-Optimises data content, fully exploiting it to commercial advantage
-Ensures that appropriate key analytics are in place to measure the performance of data against selling opportunities
-Launches new database initiatives driven by customer needs and seasonal buying opportunities
-Presents review of initiatives and enhancements
-Data champion role; understands how to grow the business in the right direction utilizing data assets and customer needs
-Recognizes what will make the most difference to the business in the short and medium term and focuses on making it happen
TECHNICAL TRAINING & WRITING
-Will be responsible for conducting new and
refresher training for Onyx as necessary. (Frequency of training should
lessen significantly as users become acclimated to the new database).
- Technical writing to keep Onyx training materials current.

-Data management experience in a data driven environment

Description : The position of Customer Database Manager
will tkes full responsibility for all aspects of RBI ONYX, and other
customer relationship databases, including assistance with RCD Onyx, to
maximize leads and customer/prospect data to build revenue directly or
through the identification of cross-selling and deeper account
penetration.
Key Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:
-Provide database management expertise to maximize data assets for our sales teams and customer utilization
-Identify and integrate external sources of prospect leads
-Stay up to date on database scrubbing and merging technologies and how
to maintain data in a useful manner to maximise online data sales, lead
generation and advertising revenue
-Take responsibility for database management of ONYX and other allied customer databases
