Job Description:
We are currently
seeking an Analyst for our Cambridge, MA office or our London UK office and will
prioritize those with an interest in, or past exposure to, Africa. The ideal
candidate will be able to understand and apply Pyramid’s core analytical
approaches and methodologies in order to work on forecasting models, analytical
reports, and consulting engagements. The successful candidate will also be able
to work in close cooperation with a team of analysts and business development
managers to support and manage projects, clients, and Pyramid’s other analytical
activities.
Experience/Requirements:

Demonstrated interest or experience in the telecoms
sector, or demonstrated interest or experience in an industry analyst
role
-
Demonstrated interest in, or exposure to,
Africa
-
Experience with, or exposure to, macroeconomic forecasting
and/or financial modeling
-
Ability to work under tight deadlines on various projects
simultaneously
-
Excellent logic and analytical skills -- both quantitative
and qualitative

Proficiency in Excel; understanding of advanced Excel
functions and capabilities

Superior English writing and presentation
skills

Fluency in French; demonstrable ability to speak with
clients and write in another Western European Language other than
English

Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, business,
international relations, or related area from a strong college or university
program

At least 1 year of related work experience or completion
of graduate degree
