Description
Market Strategies International, Inc. (MSI), a national market research & consulting firm, is seeking a Study Director for our Portland, Oregon office to develop proposals and manage multiple market research projects for several clients in the Energy Industry.
    
Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with clients to understand their business objectives and research needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external research experts to identify and select the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
  • Develop innovative proposals and assist with sales presentations
  • Formulate analysis and reporting plans
  • Manage and supervise all phases of market research initiatives – from design through report delivery
  • Design research questionnaires and moderator guides
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Work with Operation Project Directors to oversee fieldwork initiatives
  • Supervise the work of junior researchers and contribute to their professional development
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods
  • Interpret data, write reports and make actionable recommendations
  • Make presentations to internal and external audiences– answering questions and instilling confidence

Qualifications:
  • Advanced research-based degree or MBA
  • Successful completion of coursework in graduate-level statistics.
  • Successful completion of graduate-level coursework in survey methodology helpful
  • Academic and/or practical experience with a wide array of survey or market research methodologies
  • Ability to recommend research methodologies that address client needs and adhere to budget expectations
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis
  • Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint and SPSS, SAS, or Stata
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
