Position Description:
The Nielsen Company is looking for an experienced marketing research
statistician with 5-7yrs experience. Knowledge of panel (Nielsen or
IRI) data a plus. The appropriate candidate would have experience with
segmentation and panel research.
Responsibilities:
•Candidate will be responsible for creating, executing, and
explaining analysis plans for various projects such as segmentation,
regression/correlation, and factor analysis. This position will also be
responsible for developing and improving analytic tools to meet
specific client needs and the ability to stay up-to-date with new or
relevant techniques is key. Some travel is required.
Requirements:
•Knowledge and demonstrated use of state-of-the-art survey,
mathematical, statistical, and social science methods relevant to our
clients.
•Practical knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and
applications such as logistic and linear regression, CHAID and CART,
segmentation and clustering techniques, modeling and tracking are a
must. Proficiency with SAS or SPSS and Latent Gold software is desired
•A graduate level degree in psychology/statistics/marketing
research/MBA with 5-7 years current experience in market research
analysis is preferred.
•Superior communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical people IS A MUST.
•Travel Approximately 10%
