Job Description

Hexcel is currently seeking a dynamic Quality Manager in their
Pottsville, PA facility. The qualified candidate will be responsible
for leading the following efforts:
• Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of effective
quality policies and procedures to meet customer and company
requirements.
• Oversee the internal auditing process and function to assure
fully transparent view of the plant’s performance against its
Quality Management System
• Assure the development of quality plans and controls to meet requirements while minimizing production costs.
• Direct supplier quality audit and improvement efforts.
• Coordinate and lead activities of the Corrective Action process.
• Provide regular feedback to The Pottsville Plant Management Team
regarding the quality of products and services provided by isolating
problems, identifying trends and recommending continual improvement
opportunities for the Quality Management System.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training and
communication activities to assist in the motivation of employees
toward achievement of quality objectives.
• Organize, develop and motivate subordinates to meet departmental objectives while maximizing human resource utilization.
• Lead facility efforts for continual improvement in the level of Customer Satisfaction.
• Liaison with external parties on matters relating to the Quality Management System.
• Aggressively support plant and corporate safety objectives.
• Operate at all times in compliance with the Hexcel Pottsville Quality System and Quality Policy.
• Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, Code of Business Conduct and Hexcel Values.
Requirements
• BS in engineering or related technical discipline and
demonstrated experience in quality management in an
industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in statistical techniques for process control, data
analysis, ISO 9001/AS9100, and SPC Tools and methodologies.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma.
• Proven leadership and management skills. Strong facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Current computer literacy including proficiency in use of full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
