Reports to Director of Analytics

Focus on this role is hands-on expertise in market mix modeling – panel data, shopper data and a lot of ad-hoc analysis and modeling of print, radio or tv – very cross functional.

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Customer Insights department
  • Manages the implementation of a marketing mix analytical process by leveraging technical expertise to identify and adopt best practices for retail marketing mix insights
  • Develops actionable strategies and presents recommended business actions to various stakeholders Drives business decisions by translating business issues into statistical analyses
  • Ensures team performance by managing daily activities of external consultants; and overseeing data collection, methodology development, statistical model development, and presentation of findings.
  • Designs and manages statistical models by determining the scope of research; selecting the research vendor; determining the experimental design; validating the model accuracy in answering the business questions; outlining the analytical plan; and developing the business recommendation. Synthesizes information by interpreting research results; reconciling learning from disparate studies; resolving conflicting pieces of information; and integrating complex studies into simple concepts.
  • Ensures consumer insights are incorporated into category marketing plans
  • Assesses aspects of marketing effectiveness by identifying business issues needing explanation; analyzing consumer behavior patterns and media data to determine the effectiveness of marketing; and providing solutions to increase marketing effectiveness to the consumer.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position: (Applicants must possess all of the following to be considered.)

8 years experience in Marketing Analytics syndicated research (an absolute must have), including the management and performance of marketing mix modeling across at least I of the following areas: print, radio, television, and Internet; measuring advertising responses; and pricing and promotion models.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

3 years experience in managing external resources (for example, consultants, suppliers) resources (screening, coaching, training).
Master’s in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, with course work in Marketing and Statistics.
