Job Description:
SUMMARY: Leads and manages operational improvement projects throughout
the organization including both clinical and non-clinical areas to
accomplish measurable business process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE AND
CERTIFICATION) : Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a
field closely related to operational improvement/ process improvement/
project management or equivalent combination of experience and/or
training. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience implementing successful,
organization- wide operational improvement launches in the healthcare
industry or closely related field. Extensive experience with process
improvement, project management, change management and/or team
leadership. Demonstrated experience and competence implementing
operational improvement training programs and successful implementation
of related policies and procedures. Demonstrated record of achieving
and sustaining exceptional results. Experience providing education and
training in the use of process improvement tools and techniques.
Demonstrated experience with Total Quality Management, Continuous
Quality Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management,
etc. Familiarity with Quality Analysis tools/techniques such as Pareto
Chart, Run Charts, Scatter Diagrams, Regression Analysis, SIPOC
Diagrams. Familiar with Quality Improvement Team Facilitation
tools/techniques such as agenda planning, group facilitation and
decision-making, brainstorming, and prioritizing. Excellent written and
verbal communication / interpersonal skills. Excellent time management
and organizational skills. Ability to make quality, independent
decisions. Analytical and strong problem solving skills. Ability to
work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes
and multiple interruptions. Exceptional ability to function within
diverse organizations. Experience building quality organizations and
systems at a Division or Corporate level. Experienced working cross
functionally. Willingness to take risk and lead change. Demonstrated
analytical, planning, forecasting and execution skills. Effective
listening and conflict resolution. Strong coaching, mentoring and
teaching skills. Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
Well-developed administrative skills. Strong team-building skills.
