Product Manager, Life Sciences Modeling and Simulations
Location: San Diego, CA

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, the Product
Manager of Life Sciences Modeling and Simulations will be responsible
for the strategy and roadmap of Accelrys’ next generation
modeling and simulation software products for the pharmaceutical,
biotechnology, and agrochemical industries. The Product Manager will
work closely with product management and product marketing teams to
define and prioritize requirements. This role will also be responsible
for the development of sales tools and collateral, ensuring that the
sales organization is well equipped to deliver to our global customer
base.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in engineering, biology, chemistry, or related science; MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience required within
scientific software, informatics, or related industry with a verifiable
track record of successfully defining and launching complex software
products as a Product Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of molecular modeling visualization and simulation applications required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a preferred.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority is required.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
