ROLE
Hands-on Lead Scientist / Data Mining Expert / Software Engineer working as leader and strategist in a small, fast-growing 35-person company. Work closely with Operations and Analytics areas on heavily data-driven solutions.

REQUIRED
-- MS or PhD in Machine Learning, Data Mining (or Computer Science and Math/Stats).
-- 5-8 years experience.
-- Prior industry experience working in this capacity.
-- Experience applying ML technologies.
-- MUST be collaborative and cooperative to work in a team environment.

EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE
Text Mining, Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, Tree Networks, Lookalike Modeling, Modeling in Real Time, Progressive Optimization, Rational Computation, Elastic Computing, Predictive Modeling (AI, ML, STATS), Building Mathematical Models of historical data sets to predict future actions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the VP of Solutions, you will have an opportunity to participate in the delivery of analytics projects for financial services, telecom and retailing clients. Angoss currently supports both software licensing and on-demand subscription-based solution delivery models. This dynamic role will combine your technical and business fluency while being actively involved in the end-to-end implementation of Angoss solutions. You will collaborate with business, IT and analytics stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.

This is an opportunity for you to showcase your mathematical know-how, while gaining visibility as a thought leader in predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities

* Delivery of analytical projects
* Understanding business requirements to meet client objectives
* Designing data analysis solutions
* Devising deployment strategies for integrating the solution into the client’s business process.
* Mentor and lead Data Mining Analyst
* Application of data mining, statistical and predictive modeling
* Managing and mentoring and other analysts in Angoss’ proprietary methodology

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Advanced degree in science or engineering with high academic achievement.
* Masters/PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or Physics preferred
* Very strong problem solving and quantitative analysis skills
* The ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts
* Excellent client management skills
* The ability to lead analytical projects in a variety of different and potentially unfamiliar contexts
* Fluency with statistical modeling and data mining techniques
* Knowledge of statistical packages (e.g. Angoss, SAS, SPSS)
* Knowledge of analytical software
