Senior Actuarial Analyst - New York
The successful candidate will be responsible for various liability
lines of business including Lead Umbrella and Excess Liability along
with Special Casualty Excess and Surplus Lines business. Under minimal
supervision, the successful candidate will support the pricing of
new/renewal business and development of effective premium/rating
structures and strategies in support of business objectives. Profit
margins on new and renewal business will be calculated. They will
coordinate, prepare and perform actuarial analysis of all pricing
parameters and provide consultation on actuarial models and risk
issues. In addition, trend analysis, loss development analysis and peer
reviews of corporate reserving analysis will be generated. The
successful candidate will directly support market facing and technical
underwriters on pricing decisions and communicate with claims personnel
on loss issues.

Job Title: Senior Statistician (Manager or Senior Manager)
Location: Atlanta, San Francisco, NYC, Chicago, Raleigh/Cary, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, and Reston, VA
Duration: Perm Position
The candidate will be responsible for:
• Assessing opportunities and making subsequent recommendations as to the analytical approach
o Modeling types may include linear/logistic regression, neural nets, decision trees, fractional factorials, etc.
• Developing, testing, implementing, and potentially maintaining statistical modeling implementations
• Interacting with clients of all levels to review expected
outputs, applicability to business challenges, and model measurement
• Guiding the data formulation process which may include
identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data
transformation, and temporal layout
Requirements include:
• Master’s in Statistics required (PhD is a plus)
• 10 – 15 years experience
• Strong skills in Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Enterprise Miner
• Familiarity with relational database design
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Visio)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
