Journals and Magazines
ACM Transactions on
Knowledge Discovery in Data (TKDD)
- part of the family of journals produced by the ACM. TKDD publishes
one volume yearly. Each volume is comprised of four issues, which
appear in March, June, September and December.
Data
Mining and Knowledge Discovery Journal - The journal publishes original technical papers
in both the research and practice of data mining and knowledge
discovery, surveys and tutorials of important areas and techniques, and
detailed descriptions of significant applications. Coverage includes:
Theory and Foundational Issues, Data Mining Methods, Algorithms for
Data Mining, Knowledge Discovery Process, and Application Issues.
IEEE
Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering
Intelligent
Data Analysis
- provides a forum for the examination of issues related to the
research and applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques in data
analysis across a variety of disciplines. These techniques include: all
areas of data visualization, data pre-processing (fusion, editing,
transformation, filtering, sampling), data engineering, database mining
techniques, tools and applications, use of domain knowledge in data
analysis, evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, neural nets, fuzzy
logic, statistical pattern recognition, knowledge filtering, and
post-processing. In particular, we prefer papers that discuss
development of new AI related data analysis architectures,
methodologies, and techniques and their applications to various
domains. Papers published in this journal are geared heavily towards
applications, with an anticipated split of 70% of the papers published
being applications-oriented, research and the remaining 30% containing
more theoretical research. 6 issues/year.
International Journal of Applied Management Science (IJAMS)
International Journal of Data Mining and Bioinformatics
- Mining bioinformatics data is an emerging area at the intersection
between bioinformatics and data mining. The objective of the IJDMB is
to facilitate collaboration between data mining researchers and
bioinformaticians by presenting cutting edge research topics and
methodologies in the area of data mining for bioinformatics. This
perspective acknowledges the inter-disciplinary nature of the research
in data mining and bioinformatics and provides a unified forum for
researchers/practitioners/students/policy makers to share the latest
research and developments in this fast growing multi-disciplinary
research area. Published in 4 issues per year.
Journal of
Intelligent Information Systems (Kluwer)
Journal
of Machine Learning Research
- provides an international forum for the electronic and paper
publication of high-quality scholarly articles in all areas of machine
learning. All published papers are freely available online.
KAIS:
Knowledge and Information Systems: An International Journal
(Springer-Verlag)
OR/MS
Today - Magazine for INFORMS
- The bi-monthly publication provides
a comprehensive look at operations research and management science
through stories, feature articles, case studies, software reviews and
surveys authored by recognized leaders in the field. Operations
research and management science are interdisciplinary sciences aimed at
solving operational and societal problems arising in all areas of
industry, business and government.
