The American Strategic Management Institute’s Performance Conference 2008, May 5-7, in Orlando, FL.
Performance. It is on every executive’s mind: how to plan, measure and improve performance on all levels of the enterprise. All executives are looking for a strategy for improving their organization’s performance… but real success still hinges on the effective execution of strategy. When strategy is not executed, organizations fall short of meeting the performance expectations of stakeholders and customers.

The fatal disconnect between strategy definition by management and strategy execution by the organization has given rise to “performance management systems.” Today’s high performing organizations utilize performance management systems to successfully execute strategy at all levels of their operations.

To enhance your own efforts to define and implement performance improvement strategies in your organization, you are invited to join leaders in the field of organizational performance at The American Strategic Management Institute’s Performance Conference 2008, May 5-7, in Orlando, FL.

At this national event, you will learn how to defi ne and execute strategies within in your organization that that align with corporate goals and drive across all key business functions, including fi nance, workforce and operational performance. Unlike any other event, The Performance Conference will focus on the challenge of aligning strategy with measures to achieve your enterprise objectives through comprehensive performance management.

The nation’s leaders in performance management will be on hand for The Performance Conference 2008. Join them and you will emerge with powerful lessons and tools for driving real and immediate performance improvements in your organization.I look forward to seeing you in sunny Orlando!

SIAM Conference on the Life Sciences
August 4-7, 2008
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Hyatt Regency Montreal

Description
The life sciences have become increasingly quantitative as new technologies facilitate collection and analysis of vast amounts of data ranging from complete genomic sequences of organisms to satellite imagery of forest landscapes on continental scales. As a consequence, mathematics and computational science have become crucial technologies for the study of complex models of biological processes.

The SIAM Activity Group on Life Sciences brings together researchers who seek to develop and apply mathematical and computational methods in all areas of the life sciences. This conference of the activity group will provide a cross-disciplinary forum for catalyzing mathematical research relevant to the life sciences. It will facilitate rapid diffusion of new mathematical and computational methods in the life sciences, and may stimulate more researchers to work in these important areas. Mathematicians, life scientists, computational biologists, bioengineers and others interested in mathematical and computational analysis of biological systems are encouraged to attend.
