The Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
(CLAPEM), organized by the Bernoulli Society (Latin American Chapter)
is the main event in probability and mathematical statistics in the
region.It takes place every two/three years and attracts researchers
and students from the most important Latinoamerican centers. It has
already been organized in Venezuela, Uruguay, México, Brasil,
Chile, Argentina, Cuba and Peru.

divisions, and The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and its
Society for Health Systems (SHS), will launch a joint conference
focused on healthcare quality and process improvement. The new joint
conference will be held February 25–28, 2010, in Atlanta, Ga.
